Anime Shop Simulator Mods: What Exists and How It Works

Does Anime Shop Simulator support mods?

Not officially. The store page lists no Workshop, and the developers have not said anything about mod support. A Google search of Nexus Mods for the game’s name returned nothing on September 14.

“Anime shop simulator mods” is still the top related search for the game on Google Trends, in both the one-month and three-month views. Search it and the first result is TCG Card Shop Simulator’s Nexus page, which has 740 mods. People looking for this game’s mods are mostly landing on another game’s. The one mod that exists: Bigger Lobby

Posted as a Steam community guide on September 13, Bigger Lobby by RaveN lets a room hold up to 32 players instead of 4.

What the guide says you need:

• MelonLoader v0.6.6 (x64) and the .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime (x64). The guide’s zip bundles both.
• The mod file, BiggerLobby.dll, in a Mods folder inside the game folder.
• Everyone joining the room must have the mod installed.
• A 5 to 10 minute black screen on the first launch while MelonLoader generates its files. The guide calls this normal.

Once installed, the Create Room menu lets you set the player limit anywhere from 1 to 32.

The download is hosted on Google Drive, not Steam or Nexus. Treat it like any third-party file: scan it, and back up your save first (see the save file page). Expect it to break after game updates until the author updates it.

Why MelonLoader

The game folder contains GameAssembly.dll, the sign of a Unity game built with IL2CPP, and MelonLoader is the usual loader for those. The settings and saves are Easy Save files (.es3) that store plain JSON. That’s why players have been able to repair broken saves by hand. It also means a determined modder can change a lot, but none of that is official, and patches can undo it.

What players are asking for

• Mod support in general. A thread asking for a simple mods folder has 34 replies, with players saying it would “greatly increase the game’s reach and appeal”.
• Custom card artwork. A pre-launch thread asks the developers to make card art easy to replace, since that is what TCG Card Shop Simulator’s modders did first.
• Real manga and more content. Several requests ask for licensed-looking manga or more adult content. We don’t cover those.

No developer reply to any of these has been posted yet. We will add one here if it appears.

FOV, invert mouse and quality-of-life

Launch players wanted mods for camera settings. Field of view is now in the game (Hotfix 1.0.2). Invert mouse is still missing, and we have not found a verified mod for it. See controls and settings.

Trainers and money cheats

Money cheats and trainer searches exist, and one launch-week thread asks about Cheat Engine. We don’t list or link any. They are the fastest way to break a save in a game this young, and the developers are still changing the save format with each patch.
